Who’s this girl?
My background:
Born in Tokyo, Japan in 1983, I spent my childhood in a Japanese bourgeois family, playing the piano, learning English, and going to a private all-girls-catholic-school .
My life changed when our family moved to New York when I was 10 years old. It was in New York where I went through puberty and adolescence, identity crisis and rebellious phase, developing my self identity as an American girl.
After graduating from college, I moved Boston to start working. After 4 years working and having fun in Boston, I recently moved to Tokyo to work in the Tokyo branch of the firm, leaving the US where I lived for over 15 years.
And here I am now, back in Tokyo and ready to enter the Tokyo meet market for the first time!

Dear Ms. Cherie,
This is some interesting stuff! I am about to attend my gokon party 2 weeks from now (after 8 months in Japan!). I will take a good look at your blog tonight when I get home since I really need it. Since I can barely speak Japanese, I wonder what would be the best way to approach the girls? Anyways, thank you for making this blog and I will make sure to drop by more often.
best,
James
